Frances Gill 🪴 DSA Los Angeles 🪴 she/her

Frances is a health care worker and a rank-and-file member of her union. She joined DSA in 2016, and after joining, she helped found New Orleans DSA, where she co-chaired the chapter during a winning campaign to save the public library system from being defunded.

In 2021, she moved to Los Angeles after getting a job at the LA County hospital. In LA, she ran for leadership in the chapter Labor Committee. She was also the #1 volunteer door knocker for one of the chapter’s winning City Council candidates in the 2022 municipal elections. But she is most proud of her work as a bargaining team member for her union’s new contract, which won huge wage increases for herself and her coworkers!
